Most Unusual Valentine's Gift? How About a Singing Barbershop Quartet?
They will sing for your loved one Sunday or Valentine's Day Tuesday

Tired of jewelry and flowers?
How about sending them a a barbershop quartet to woo them in song?
For 15 years Santa Cruz's Barbershop Harmony Society has been showing up at homes, offices, restaurants and businesses to sing love songs for the holidays. They charge $45 for reservations made now (they were cheaper before Feb. 8.) and have slots available Sunday and Tuesday.

The most unusual one last year was singing at the UCSC pool where the swim team coach got a Valengram sent by his girlfriend, says Kim Orloff, who dispatches the singers all over Santa Cruz.
They do 20-30 Valengrams for the holidays, also delivering flowers, cards and candies with the songs.

The money they raise goes to support Gold Standard Chorus activities throughout the year.
