Man Arrested After Police Standoff

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Santa Cruz police arrested a man Monday night after shutting down a portion of a residential neighborhood amid a standoff.

People were asked to stay away from San Juan and Fairmount avenues as they sought to reach a man believed to be barricaded in a home there.

Police were focusing on a home on San Juan after the U.S. Marshals Service tracked him to the City of Santa Cruz, Police Chief Andrew Mills said on Twitter. He ran to the home, Mills said.
