The Santa Cruz Police Department shows social networking finesse when they locate a stolen bike worth $7000 using Instagram.

SANTA CRUZ - An Instagram post published by Santa Cruz police is being credited for locating a $7000 bicycle stolen from a local residential garage.

According to authorities, the expensive bike was brought into the police station when they found 25-year-old Johannes Valenzuela trespassing on Barson St. and under the influence of narcotics. Valenzuela allegedly had the bike in his possession, along with stolen items belonging to other victims.
