Police Investigate Santa Cruz Shooting
Police believe the shooting may be gang-related.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — A 26-year-old man was shot early this morning in Santa Cruz during a gang-motivated attack, police reported. Santa Cruz police responded to the 600 block of Riverside Avenue at 1:04 a.m. to reports of multiple gunshots.
They arrived and found a 26-year-old man suffering from an undetermined number of gunshot wounds, police said. The man was treated by paramedics and taken to a Bay Area trauma center, according to police. He is in critical condition but police said he is expected to survive.
Santa Cruz police detectives are currently investigating the shooting as an attempted murder.
