Police say on Saturday night, April 9, this stabbing took place in the 300 block of Riverside Ave.

The video is not graphic, but it does show the stabbing, what police describe as a punch to the stomach of the victim.

Police say the victim was taken to the hospital by his companions, and is now recovering at a Bay Area trauma center.

Santa Cruz police are looking for two suspects, the suspected stabber and a female companion.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 23 - 29 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall.

His hair is described as black, and worn in a long mullet style.

Police say you can see the female companion walking in front of the suspect. She is wearing a blue cap, blue shirt and blue pants.

She is carrying something in her hands, police believe.
