Police Seek Tips, Video In Santa Cruz Shooting

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Police in Santa Cruz are investigating an early Saturday morning shooting that left a man with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

Officers were called shortly after midnight to the 700 block of Chestnut Street, where an exchange of gunfire occurred between two people, or groups of people. One man suffered a single gunshot wound and was hospitalized for treatment, police said.

No arrests have yet been made as of Saturday. Santa Cruz police investigators urge anyone on that block of Chestnut Street with a home or business surveillance system to check their footage for evidence that could help investigators.
