Popular Mac And Cheese Linked To Multiple Allergic Reactions Recalled

Goodles has recalled two of its popular noodle and cheese products due to unlisted allergens.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Santa Cruz-based Gooder Foods Inc. is recalling two types of its Goodles noodle and cheese products due to unlisted ingredients, including dairy and nut allergens.

In an announcement published on the U.S. Food & Drug Administration website, the company said it was recalling five lots of Vegan is Believin’ Plant-Based White Cheddar with Spirals that may contain milk and three lots of Here Comes Truffle Creamy Truffle-Flavored Cheddar and Shells that may contain cashew.

“Persons who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk and/or cashew may run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products,” the company said in its recall announcement.

The situation was discovered through consumer feedback, with six reported allergic reactions tied to Here Comes Truffle and two reported allergic reactions connected to Vegan is Believin’.

Customers can return recalled items to the place of purchase for a refund.

The products, which are widely available at national grocery chains and online retailers, were distributed between April 29 and Aug. 5.

The affected lot codes for Vegan is Believin’ are 09725N, 09825N, 09925N, 10025N and 10125N, and the UPC code is 850031990074. The lot codes for Here Comes Truffle are 10125N, 10425N and 10525N, and the UPC code is 850031990159.
