Property Tax Bills Due Next Week In Santa Cruz County
The first installment of property tax bills was mailed to residents last month, and payments are due on Dec. 11. Here's what to know.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — The first installment of 2023-24 property tax bills are due next Monday, and home and business owners have a few days left to make sure they get their payments in and avoid late penalties.
According to the Treasuer-Tax Collector's Office, everyone should have received their bills in the mail by Nov. 1, and taxpayers can also view their bills and check for any outstanding payments online. Information is also available regarding exemptions for senior and disabled residents and the county's property tax postponement program.
Taxpayers can pay online by E-Check at no added charge, but debit or credit cards may include a service charge. Residents planning to mail physical checks will want to ensure the envelope is postmarked by the Dec. 11 due date to avoid any added charges.
