Readers' Choice: Where is the Best Sporting Goods Store?

There aren't a lot of big box stores in Santa Cruz, which is a boon and a bane. You don't have to walk through giant mazes of stuff that require a compass to find your way out of.

But there isn't always the variety or the discounts you might get elsewhere? Or is there? Where do you go for sporting goods and why?

Have you found bargains? Have you found great service or products that you can't find in a big box?

Some of our regular stops include downtown at 137 River St., at 7000 Soquel Ave. and for some seasonal stuff, there is.
