Rifles, Drugs Seized In Santa Cruz After Gun Brandished: Police
Ghost guns, 33 grams of cocaine and 16 grams of methamphetamine were among the items police said they seized over the weekend.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — A high-risk traffic stop early Saturday morning by Santa Cruz police officers netted two self-manufactured rifles, an unregistered and loaded 8mm handgun, illegal drugs and scales and packaging for selling controlled substances.
Police said they responding to reports of a brandished firearm when they made the traffic stop at 2:20 a.m. Saturday. Also seized were 32.5 grams of cocaine and 15.6 grams of methamphetamine.
The driver and passenger were arrested.

A subsequent search warrant was served on their residence in San Mateo County, where officers recovered nearly one pound of cocaine and evidence of the sale and transporting of controlled substances. The Santa Cruz Police Department's Tactical Team worked with the San Mateo County Sheriff's Department SWAT unit during the residential search.
