Rollover Crash Through Hotel Sign Lands Watsonville Man In Cuffs
The collision destroyed a Santa Cruz motel's sign. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Police arrested a man Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed a vehicle outside of a hotel in Santa Cruz. At 2:12 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle crash at the Ocean Gate Inn at 111 Ocean St. According to police, a Toyota 4Runner was traveling on San Lorenzo Boulevard when the driver lost control of the vehicle and rolled it through the hotel's sign.
The driver, identified as 21-year-old Johnathan Mullin of Watsonville, was allegedly intoxicated. He suffered minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, police said.
No other people or vehicles were involved in the crash, police said.
