This is the 22nd year the Santa Cruz Yacht Club has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters to raise funds and let community members experience the joy of sailing. This event, which is a major fund-raiser for the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program, gives anyone a chance to spend an afternoon aboard the Chardonnay II, a 70-foot ultra-light sailing yacht. Watch the sailboat races up close, and after the races enjoy a BBQ dinner with live music ashore at the Santa Cruz Yacht Club. Look for the balloons. The cost for both is only $55. Local boaters can also join in with a reverse start regatta scheduled to begin at 1pm.
