Santa Cruz Driver Alert Due To Bernie Sanders Rally

SANTA CRUZ - Police in Santa Cruz are warning local drivers to avoid Laurel St. Ext near Kaiser Arena for the next 7 hours due to the Bernie Sanders campaign rally.

The Democratic Presidential hopeful will address a rally in Santa Cruz this morning at the Kaiser Permanente Arena on Front St.

Doors are expected to open at 10 a.m. for the rally.

Police say some roads in the area will be closed.

Santa Cruz police say residents of 203 Laurel St will have to enter their complex from Third Street.

Officials are expecting heavy traffic and a large crowd on Front Street from 8 am. to 3 p.m.
