Santa Cruz Lifeguard Spots Shark Near Coastline
A lifeguard saw a shark Saturday evening in the water off the coastline of Santa Cruz, fire officials said.
SANTA CRUZ - A lifeguard saw a shark Saturday evening in the water off Cowell's Beach in Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz fire officials said.
The shark was sighted at 6:20 p.m. from the Tower 1 lifeguard station.
The shark was swimming about 250 yards from the shore.

The lifeguard saw a tail thrashing and the shark's head come above the water, fire officials said.
