Santa Cruz Lighted Boat Parade was a Feast for the Eyes Saturday
This was the 26th annual version of the Yacht Harbor parade, which goes rain or shine. Luckily, it was a still, perfect night for dozens of colorful ships to be seen.
From lighted kayaks, canoes and outriggers to giant yachts, the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor was filled with colorful boats and even more colorful lights.
One boat had a girl twirling a baton. A small kayak was covered in a green globe-like display and paddled by an engineer who builit it all. There was a big boat with a dolphin flying in front and a whale tail following behind.
Thousands of people surrounded the harbor as two dozen boats did laps around so everyone could see them.
