Santa Cruz Unveils Summer Camp Program Lineup

Find out what's on the city's lineup and how to register or apply for a scholarship.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Looking for kid-friendly summer fun? Online registration for the Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation department's summer programming will open in the weeks to come.

The programs are also open to those outside of the city and will be compliant with COVID-19 guidance from state and local officials, the city said in a news release.

Santa Cruz will offer summer camps at Harvey West and the little and junior lifeguard programs at Cowell Beach. Santa Cruz residents who have previously been involved in the lifeguard program will receive priority.

Summer camps will offer arts and crafts, games, outdoor activities and growth experiences, the city said in a statement. Santa Cruz will offer LEGO camps, beach baseball camp, skateboard camp and kayak camp.

Scholarship applications are due by 5 p.m. April 23.

Online registration begins May 1. Santa Cruz residents can sign on beginning at 8 a.m., while non-residents can check at 10 a.m. Register or create an account here.

Phone registration begins 9 a.m. May 3. Parks and rec staff can be reached weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. at 831-420-5270.
