Seeking Celluloid For Santa Cruz Film Fest

This year's Festival, June 1-5, is mostly at the Del Mar, yet organizers say "the festival might break out anywhere." Entries welcome now.

SANTA CRUZ - If the fire of Fellini burns in your gut, and you’ve created something on film for others to finally see, then the Santa Cruz Film Festival may be just your ticket.

The Festival will flicker images to walls from June 1-5, 2016, mostly at the Del Mar, but “films are screened in a variety of unexpected venues across the county,” according to the Festival website. “Coffee roasters, restaurants, building walls, surf shops, bars, museums, redwood meadows - the festival might break out anywhere”.

Entries are now being accepted in categories such as documentary feature, narrative feature, documentary short, narrative short, animation, experimental, youth works (under 18), a Santa Cruz/Monterey local category and even a EarthVision Environmental and Social Justice Film category.
