Shooting At Blue Lagoon Injures One
Santa Cruz Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the bar bathroom early Wednesday morning.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — Police are investigating a shooting at the Blue Lagoon Wednesday morning that injured one person.
Police responded to the bar just after 12:30 a.m. after a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered one person was shot in the bathroom following a verbal confrontation, police said. The victim was a 24-year-old Santa Cruz resident.
The victim's injury was considered significant but not life-threatening.

The suspect fled on foot before officers arrived to the scene, police said.
Santa Cruz Police Detectives described the suspect as a black male adult, 20 to 30 years old, 6 foot 2 and approximately 250 to 275 pounds with shoulder-length black curly hair.
