Suspect Flees After Police Officer Attack
Police Nixle alerts informed residents in the area of Windsor, Branciforte Avenue and Ocean View Avenue to shelter in place Thursday night.
The Santa Cruz Sentinel is reporting that an apparent attack on a police officer Thursday night caused Santa Cruz Police to issue a Nixle alert, urging neighborhood residents to stay in their homes while the search was conducted.
The search for the suspect has since been called off, but police would like to hear from anyone that may have information about the incident.
