Suspected Gunman Arrested In Santa Cruz
Two people were shot in early August, resulting in critical injuries.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — A man was arrested in connection with a shooting in a Santa Cruz parking lot in August, according to police.
The Santa Cruz Police Department identified the suspect as Moses Dollar, 27.
Police said that around 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 8, their officers and operatives from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the Santa Cruz Small Craft Harbor at 135 Fifth Avenue. Upon arrival, they found two people who had been shot.

Both victims received first aid and were sent to a trauma center, in critical condition.
Investigators said that an altercation had occurred in the parking lot before the shooting. Someone fired at both victims and fled the scene in a black Dodge Charger.

During their investigation, detectives identified Dollar and a certain Jakaella Porter as the suspects.
Dollar was arrested on Sept. 18 by police with assistance from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on Monday on suspicion of attempted homicide.
Porter, meanwhile, has an outstanding warrant for suspected conspiracy and attempted homicide.
