Missing Teenage Body Surfer: Search Continues
This marks the third time a person was reported missing in Davenport-area waters in the past week.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Officials resumed a rescue search Tuesday morning for Cash Ebright, 17, who was reported missing after body surfing Monday at Laguna Creek Beach.
Ebright was last seen wearing black swim trunks, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said. The investigation is being handled by the sheriff's office and California State Parks.
This is the third time in just over a week that officials have launched rescue efforts in the waters near Davenport. This incident comes on the heels of a string of recent incidents in the waters of Santa Cruz County and nearby.

The Cal Fire San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit last week asked the public to exercise caution at the shoreline as officials continued to search for David Guzman, 26, of San Jose, who remains missing after he was swept to sea Sept. 12 near Davenport Beach.
The body of Conrad Miltko, 30, of Chicago was found Sept. 14 after he was swept to sea while standing on the rocks at Panther State Beach near Davenport.

Hours after Miltko was found, Cal Fire announced it was searching for a possible missing kayaker near Half Moon Bay after an empty kayak with a paddle and freshly caught fish washed ashore at Mavericks Beach.

That same day, one person died in Pacifica after driving off a cliff along Highway 1.
A surfer rescued two boys and a woman Friday morning at Sunny Cove Beach in Twin Lakes after their car drove off a cliff into the ocean.
