UCSC Hires Big Name Gamers for Its School of Video Games
UCSC's cool school gets some new designers.

UCSC has hired a husband and wife video game developing couple to head its Games and Playable Media masters program at the Baskin School of Engineering, according to this story in Venturebeat.Â
Brenda Romero began her career as a game tester before moving up and designing on games in the Wizardry series of RPGs and Jagged Alliance. She later worked for Atari on the Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes.
John Romero is one of the founders of Doom developer Id Software, where he also worked on Wolfenstein 3D, Hexen, and Quake. He later formed Ion Storm to work on Daikatana.
