My name is Nikki and I work for a local small business here on the Santa Cruz Wharf. My employer Dohna Dunderdale asked me to share this video with you. For many retail merchants summer brings much needed tourists but also increased theft and shoplifting. It's our hopes that by sharing this video with you, you might be able to bring to light the situation we and many other local merchants face contastantly, and that's theft. We happen to believe this woman a Santa Cruz resident, and also an employee a wharf restaurant, and because she looks unsuspecting she is able to steal without much notice. If it weren't for our security alarm she would been successful. After being caught outside our door she returned the item she stole and then ran to her car and drove away.
