Week Three: First Step to Walls on the Santa Cruz Warriors Arena

Some big changes in a week. Will rain stop the $500,000 of cement that is supposed to be laid Wednesday?

KP Arena, the new home of the Santa Cruz Warriors, is starting to take shape this week.

Two weeks of grading and piling dirt and now trenches are dug for utilities and work has begun on 12 holes, each 60 feet deep, to anchor the walls.

Rebar has also been laid to support the walls. No, the whole thing won't be a tent, just the roof.
