Wharf Fire Sparked By Cigarette + Eviction Ban Ends

Before we get into everything you need to know going on today, firefighters want to remind you smoking is not allowed on the wharf after a smoldering cigarette left on the asphalt started a fire Tuesday night.

"We are fortunate someone saw this early and called it in," the Santa Cruz Fire Department said on Facebook. "A fire on the Wharf could be disastrous."
