Wind Advisory Issued for New Storms Headed to Santa Cruz Co. This Week: NWS
BREAKING: A system producing heavy rain and gusty winds is expected in the area later this week.

After two winter storms last week, the San Francisco Bay and Monterey Bay areas may get wet and blown around again in the latter part of this week, National Weather Service officials said Sunday.
A system producing heavy rain and gusty winds is expected in the area Wednesday, followed by a second Thursday night into Friday. Another storm is possible late in the weekend, according to weather officials.
The storms could cause rivers and streams to rise again and some of those rivers and streams could overflow their banks. On steep terrain, mudslides and debris flows are possible. Also possible are downed trees and downed power lines, leading to power outages.
