BREAKING: The Santa Cruz County man also suffered major injuries.

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — A Santa Cruz County man suspected of drunk driving crashed head-on into another car in northern Monterey County on Tuesday night, killing his front-seat passenger, California Highway Patrol officers said.
Freedom resident Bryan Garcia, 20, caused major facial trauma and lower extremities of his back-seat passenger and blunt trauma to the face, head and legs of the driver of the car he crashed into, a 20-year-old woman from El Cajon, in San Diego County.
Garcia was driving a 2010 Honda Accord south on San Miguel Canyon Road, approaching Hambey Lane, in the unincorporated community of Prunedale, when he crossed the double yellow lines, crashing into a silver 2011 Nissan Sentra driving north.
