2 Power Outages In Santa Monica Leave Hundreds Without Electricity

Two power outages Friday morning have left hundreds in Santa Monica without electricity.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Two separate power outages in Santa Monica have left hundreds of people without electricity Friday morning.

The first outage, centered near Santa Monica High School, was first reported around 9 a.m. and is impacting 36 customers. SoCal Edison expects power to be restored to the area by 1:30 p.m. after equipment problems are repaired.

The second, centered near Washington Avenue and 2nd Street, was first reported around 10:30 a.m. and is impacting 214 customers. The utility has yet to determine the cause of the outage but expects to have power restored to the area by 2:30 p.m.
