5 Teens' Robbery Attempt Thwarted By Police: SMPD
A group of teens were arrested after attempting to break into a luxury consignment shop near Brentwood Country Mart, police said.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Five teens were arrested after attempting to break into a luxury consignment shop in the middle of the night, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
The incident occurred Feb. 9 at 2:20 a.m. at The RealReal on 26th Street, located across from Brentwood Country Mart. The suspects were spotted on security cameras attempting to force entry into the store via its front and rear doors, police said.
When officers arrived, they saw the suspects fleeing the area and chased them on foot. Three suspects were apprehended nearby, police said.

With the help of K9 officers and a Los Angeles police helicopter, two additional suspects were later taken into custody, police said.
Los Angeles residents Ryan Sims, 18; Julio Mendoza, 18; and Isaiah Lloyd, 18; Carson resident Mikel Nicholson, 19, and juvenile were booked on charges of attempted burglary and resisting arrest, according to police.
