5 Things To Do On Labor Day In Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA, CA — Happy Labor Day — a day when most people get the day off, and white pants need to be retired until next spring.

The idea for the Labor Day holiday was created by the labor movement, according to the U.S. Department of Labor (who would have guessed?). The holiday is dedicated to the "social and economic achievements" of workers who contribute to America's strength, prosperity and well-being.

If you're looking for something to do on your first vacation day since Fourth of July, here are five things happening on Labor Day in Santa Monica:

1. Tacotopia
