COVID-19 Testing Site Opening At Former Sears In Santa Monica
In response to high demand, a large-scale COVID-19 testing location will open in Santa Monica.
SANTA MONICA, CA — As the demand for testing rises in the region, a large-scale COVID-19 testing site will open at the former Sears building in Santa Monica.
911 COVID Testing will open its fourth location in Los Angeles County at 302 Colorado Avenue beginning at 6 a.m. Saturday. Appointments can be made from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m.
The group will offer free testing, and paid tests for people who need 30-minute results for PCR testing for work and travel, which comes with a doctor signature, Steve Farzam from 911 COVID Testing told Patch.

The site is located near the terminus of the Metro Expo Line, in the parking lot. The group plans to slow down operations at the Shore Hotel in Santa Monica, but will continue testing at the Sears location, along with its location at the Getty Center and LAX (open 24 hours).
