Expect Closures In Santa Monica For Summit Of The Americas

SANTA MONICA, CA — Santa Monica will see road closures Thursday as the Summit of the Americas continues at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

One southbound lane of the state Route 1, Pacific Coast Highway, will be closed from Coastline Drive to the McClure Tunnel from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday. Left turns from Coastline Drive onto Pacific Coast Highway will also be restricted.

The Summit and President Joe Biden's related trip to Los Angeles have wreaked havoc on the city's roadways for days. The Summit began Wednesday and will continue through Friday.
