Showers and thunderstorms are expected to hit over the Los Angeles mountains and interior valleys, according to National Weather Service. Rains and thunderstorms could cause flash flooding, prompting a flash flood warning in the Los Angeles and Ventura County mountains, Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita Valley.

The entire region will return to normal temps and humidity levels Tuesday, according to NWS. Santa Monica on Tuesday will see a high of 75 degrees with a 0 percent chance of rain.

A beach hazard remains in place for Santa Monica through Wednesday, promising dangerous rip currents and up to 3-6 foot surf, according to NWS. This will mean an increased risk of drowning.
