New QB Justice Neos tipped the balance of power in favor of Lighthouse, running in 5 TDs

By Michael Ashcraft --
Dual threat QB Justice Neos pounded home five touchdowns to lead the Lighthouse Christian Academy to a decisive victory in its season opener Saturday.
"That was fun," said the grinning sophomore who looks like he leapt out of a Norman Rockwell painting. "I had good blocks."

That kid was fast. And strong. And he danced a tango or two around Vista Meridian Global Academy of Anaheim. The score was 40-14 at the Culver City High School football field.
Newly added this year to the Saints' roster, Justice and his freshman brother, Shaughnessy Neos, brought critical mass to the 8-man football team. Star players from last year, like Zion Jenkins and Alex Brick, didn't have to make every single play. They could play 100% effort and count on others to tilt the game in their favor.

"Excellent start," says Coach Justin Kayne. "Things were kind of taped together for the season. I think we only had a couple of practices where we had everybody. This was a great football game. The boys came out hard."
When he says "taped together," he's referring to players added just after school started. Boys were encouraged urged almost forced to play so that LCA, which has 35 students in the whole school, could field a team. They play offense and defense with virtually no subs.
So they were "taped together," but apparently it was duct tape, which fixes everything.
Zion and Shaughnessy made countless tackles.
Lighthouse avenged its loss last year against the Eagles, when a referee, unbelievably, ruled out of bounds a TD pass that would have given the Saints the victory.
The Saints started strong. On the first play, Justice ran 60 yards for a TD.
Then when the Saints were defending, he recovered a fumble and ran it for another TD. In a matter of minutes, LCA was winning 14-0.
The Saints returned the favor, fumbling to concede an Eagles TD.
LCA responded in three plays to get in the end zone with Zion Jenkins. It was 20-8.
By half time it was 26-14.
In the third quarter, Justice continued his young Hercules runs to score two touchdowns. The score stayed 40-14.
Lighthouse belongs to CIF's Omega League. For now, the Omega Leagues belongs to Justice. So we'll call it the Justice League.
