Mighty Pilates Moving Its Location In Santa Monica
Mighty Pilates has plans to expand and meet the growing demand for more space following the pandemic.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Mighty Pilates is expanding and moving to a bigger location on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, the company told Patch.
The new studio location is above the LaLaLand Kind Cafe on Montana, near 14th Street — at the former YogaWorks location.
The entire space is 3,600 square feet and features an entry and reception area, two large-scale studio rooms, a room for privates, an outdoor balcony and restrooms. Mighty’s new space will host more than 120 in-person and 20 livestream classes per week. The two studios rooms have Reformers and spring walls; the total space is 3,600 square feet.

And more space is an added bonus, the company said.
"Both studio rooms will have reformers and spring walls, which means more classes on the schedule and spaces in class; in addition to more private session availability with both inside and outside sessions," according to the company.

Class times are staggered every half hour to give clients space and there are large windows for air circulation. Parking is also available with 27 dedicated parking spaces for easy accessibility.
The classes have their own touch and vibe.
"A Mighty class puts a modern twist on a classically-formatted Pilates class with weights, heart-pumping cardio and fitness exercises for clients to sweat, tone, and come out feeling MIGHTY," the company said.
Every class is led by a Pilates certified instructor. People can select from more than 120 in-person and 20 livestream classes each week.
"During the pandemic Mighty was fortunate to be able to help clients improve their mood through great workouts and community to get through such a difficult time," Mighty Pilates Founder Cricket Wardein said.
"Within 2 days of the shut down, we quickly pivoted to offering online livestream classes and then outdoor classes under a beautiful tent in our parking lot, all while maintaining a safe environment," Wardein said. "The business stayed afloat and clients remained loyal, and now classes are back in the studio and waitlisted, so we are ready to expand to a bigger and better studio to be able to offer even more classes and private sessions."
Mighty operates three 5-star-rated, multi-award winning studios; in San Francisco, Santa Monica and Marin County.
The company has adapted in the pandemic, offering more classes, options and flexibility. The shifts could point to the future of the wellness industry.
"It's been a tough year and difficult to see so many studios close their doors," Wardein said. "In order to survive, wellness companies must be flexible in how they offer their product and listen to their customers. The way people workout has changed for good; clients want a hybrid of in-person and virtual options."
Mighty Pilates is located at 1426 Montana Avenue, Santa Monica.
