Nominate Your Most Loved Santa Monica Business

SANTA MONICA, CA — What's your favorite business in Santa Monica?

From now through Feb. 28, community members can show their love for all favorite local businesses and nominate their most loved restaurant, gym, outdoor dining spot, and more.

“We are excited to announce the launch of the Most Loved Santa Monica businesses contest of 2022 with the Santa Monica Daily Press and our Buy Local Santa Monica partners,” City of Santa Monica’s Economic Development Manager Jennifer Taylor said in a statement.

“This annual contest is one of the most important ways that the City, our residents and local business community can come together to celebrate our Santa Monica businesses," Taylor said.

Voting is in two phases. Nominations started on Feb. 10 and will close on Monday. The top five finalists will then move on to the Most Loved 2022 voting round from March 14 to 31. Votes will be tallied by the Buy Local Santa Monica Executive Committee in partnership with the Santa Monica Daily Press.

Buy Local Santa Monica is a partnership created by the City and Santa Monica business community to help promote local businesses and encourage people to shop, eat, and play local. The contest is now in its ninth year.

The Most Loved Contest winners will be announced in May at an awards ceremony at City Hall and will be recognized throughout the year in the Most Loved Santa Monica Businesses 2022 publication, which features businesses for locals and visitors.

"From most loved coffee bar to the favorite Santa Monica Farmers Markets' vendor, we put the call out to discover and celebrate the Most Loved Businesses in Santa Monica," according to the city. "This year, we have also added new categories including 'Most Loved Santa Monica Outdoor Dining Spot' and some new restaurant/food categories! We want to know which businesses our locals cannot live without, which ones put smiles on their faces when they drop-in, and the ones we most want to celebrate because they are so awesome."

Residents of all ages, local employees and visitors are invited to participate.
