Person Threatens To Jump From Bridge Near Santa Monica Pier: Police
Police and firefighters responded to an incident in Santa Monica Tuesday morning, causing traffic slowdowns.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Authorities responded to a person threatening to jump off a bridge in Santa Monica Tuesday morning, resulting in a large police and fire presence near the pier, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
Police and the Santa Monica Fire Department responded to the incident just after 9 a.m. on Ocean Avenue and Colorado Avenue, authorities said. A person was threatening to jump off a ramp over Pacific Coast (1) Highway, according to Public Information Officer Lt. Rudy Flores.
The person was safely removed from the ramp around 10 a.m., Flores said.

Traffic near the intersection was significantly impacted, as was traffic on Moomat Ahiko Way, authorities said.
