Shooting Suspect At Large In Santa Monica, Victim Hospitalized

SANTA MONICA, CA — A shooting victim was hospitalized in unknown condition in Santa Monica and the suspect is at large, authorities said.

According to the Santa Monica Police Department, officers received a report of a shooting at about 10:25 a.m. in the 2600 block of 29th Street. SMPD was able to locate the victim when they arrived and had him taken to a local hospital.

It is unknown whether there was one or more suspects involved in the shooting, police said. As of 12:30 p.m., the suspect or suspects were outstanding.

Detectives are at the scene of the shooting to investigate the incident. The 2600 block of 29th Street is closed until further notice and officials advised residents to stay clear of the area until further notice.
