Stabbing At Santa Monica Bar Leaves One Dead, One Injured

Santa Monica police Sunday are continuing their probe into a stabbing outside a popular Santa Monica bar that left a 31-year-old man dead.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Santa Monica police Sunday are continuing their probe into a stabbing outside a popular Santa Monica bar that left a 31-year- old man dead and another man with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.

The stabbing occurred at 1:50 a.m. Saturday at The Bungalow at 101 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica Police Department Lt. Lewis Gilmour told City News Service.

"Officers arrived within moments and located two male victims with stab wounds," according to a police statement. "Santa Monica Fire Department personnel provided medical aid and transported both individuals to a local hospital."

One of the men later died from his injuries while the other remained hospitalized. Police said the dead man was a resident of Anaheim.

"The investigation is active," Gilmour said.
