Starbucks To Close Santa Monica Pickup-Only Location
The coffee giant announced 90 stores across the country will be closing next year as part of a new marketing strategy.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Starbucks plans to close a pickup-only location on Main Street as part of the company's elimination of the concept across the country.
CEO Brian Niccol made the announcement during a third-quarter earnings call earlier this week, USA Today reported.
The pick-up stores were designed for mobile orders and "quick pick up without the wait," Starbucks said when launching them in 2019. Niccol said the concept is no longer compatible with the company's "get back to Starbucks" marketing strategy.
