$12K Stolen From Saratoga's Brighter Future Learning Center

Brighter Future Learning Center, 12175 Saratoga Sunnyvale Rd., inside the Oak Creek of Saratoga shopping center was burglarized July 24 with losses estimated at $12,000.

According to Santa Clara County sheriff's spokesman Jose Cardoza, the suspects fled after they pried open a door and took cash from a desk drawer.

One of the janitors on site notified the business owner when he saw the business' broken door and alerted the owner who then called sheriff's deputies to report the crime.

The deputies noticed damage on the business door and canvassed the building, Cardoza said, adding that witnesses reported the cash taken.

Cardoza said deputies are continuing to investigate the crime, but the suspects are unknown.
