The United States Geological Survey is reporting a preliminary 3.4-magnitude earthquake, which hit the East Foothills in San Jose at approximately 12:02 p.m.
The temblor was centered along the Calaveras Fault, about 9 miles from San Jose, according to the USGS website.
There were seven responses recorded from Saratoga on the USGS's "Did You Feel It?" Response survey.
