Foster Kittens Available in Saratoga Village

Marsha E. Benson, owner of M.E. Benson Estate Sales, 14440 Big Basin Way suites 6 and 7, has five kittens for adoption inside her business.

If anyone would like to see the kittens, Benson said she's usually at her store on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Interested parties can also also call her at 408-741-0314 to see the little felines.

Benson said she works as a volunteer with the San Jose San Jose Animal Care Center on Monterey Road in San Jose and the St. Francis Animal Protection Society.

Benson said some of the cats she's rescued have medical issues and they can't stay in the shelters because they don't have long lives to live.

Others are too young to be adopted and need a rescuer to take them home until they can find their forever families.

"They're really cute," she said, adding that she was working with volunteers on July 17 to help trap a stray pregnant cat in San Jose. "They're inundated with kittens right now."

Benson said for those who don't have animals at home, cats are great pets noting they're easier to care for than dogs.
