The Santa Clara County Sheriff's office is asking for the public's help in identifying a man who attempted to rob a Cupertino bank a week ago, a sheriff's spokesman said today.
The robbery occurred at the Bank of America branch at 19376 Stevens Creek Blvd. at about 3:30 p.m. on July 23.
The suspect approached a bank teller, demanded money and threatened to shoot customers with a firearm, sheriff's Sgt. Kurtis Stenderup said.
The teller did not see a weapon and refused to hand over any money, he said. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction.
