Saratoga City Hall Could Get Makeover

Meeting to gather public input scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 23 at Joan Pisani Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave.

The City of Saratoga is engaging in a process to determine public interest in possible improvements to the Civic Theater/Council Chambers, 13777 Fruitvale Ave.

The firm of Anderson-Brule’ Architects will be facilitating a public forum meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 23 in the arts and crafts room of the Joan Pisani Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave.

City officials are hoping to gather input from residents, key stakeholders and user groups of the 50-year-old facility.

The architecture firm plans on using all of the public's input to create three conceptual plans.

They include a “functional” plan, which would call for minimal upgrades to the facility and include ADA-standard bathrooms; a “practical” plan, which would include everything from the functional plan plus additional building upgrades; and a “visionary” plan that would include everything from the prior two plans but with possible major upgrades to the facility, such as extending the lobby to accommodate larger crowds.
