VIDEO: 'Doctor Rocker' Jim Boyers Performs at Saratoga's Blue Rock Shoot

Campbell singer-songwriter Jim Boyers serenaded Saratoga Patch Thursday before open mic night at Blue Rock Shoot, 14523 Big Basin Way.

"Anybody can come in and perform," Boyers explained about the event at the popular cafe that gets folks in town behind a microphone showcasing their musical talents from 7 p.m. until closing time.

Boyers and friend musician Aly Kahn play acoustic rock and they've organized a musical event at Blue Rock Shoot on the fourth Friday of the month called, "De Canticum."

Boyers, a P.H.D. in psychology by day, has been performing since he was 13 years old. Kahn is a chiropractor.
