SCOTTS VALLEY, CA — Crews contained a vegetation fire early Friday morning along southbound state Highway 17 in Santa Cruz County, according to fire officials.
Cal Fire said that around 3:30 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a slow-moving vegetation fire at southbound Highway 17 and Old Santa Cruz Highway near Scotts Valley.
Crews were able to contain the fire to less than an acre, Cal Fire said.

No injuries were reported, while the cause of the fire is being investigated.
