How Can Sherman Oaks Parks Be Improved?

The county department of parks and recreation will host an online workshop to study the needs of parks and open spaces in Sherman Oaks.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Do you know how public parks and recreation areas could be improved in Sherman Oaks and the rest of the valley? If so, the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation wants your help.

The department is asking residents of the San Fernando Valley to provide input on the various needs of parks, trails, natural areas and open spaces. An online workshop will take place August 28th at 9:30 a.m. focusing on how recreation areas in the valley could be improved.

"Parks are a matter of public health, social equity and serve a vital role in supporting resilient communities throughout Los Angeles County," said Norma Garcia-Gonzalez, director of LA County Parks and Recreation. "We encourage all Los Angeles County residents to participate and get involved. Their input will help inform future planning and funding allocation for regional parks, open space, and trails."
