Weil was among ten finalists for the award, a majority of which operated out of larger public relations firms here in Los Angeles.
However, Weil believes that her Readers' Choice award victory is a testament to the fact that smaller firms can produce large success.

"I’m happy that I won this award because it’s not only about me, it’s about people who have small businesses," Weil said. "I think some people have a misconception that boutique PR firms are not as effective as large PR firms. That’s really not the case."
"Working with a boutique PR firm, in many cases, will allow for more personal attention," Weil added.
Weil, who maintains clients locally and globally, has been involved in PR for over 15 years, after graduating from the University of Texas in Austin. She is also an avid animal welfare advocate who continually rescues and finds homes for senior and special needs animals.
And now added to her list of accomplishments, PR Professional of the Year.
"It's nice to highlight small businesses that are doing big things," Weil said.
