Valley Man Killed In Solo Car 405 Freeway Crash Near Encino
Authorities identified a 33-year-old man who died when his car veered up an embankment and into a freeway pole.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A motorist killed in a solo-vehicle crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway Sunday was identified as a 33-year-old Van Nuys man Monday.
According to the Los Angeles County coroner's office and the California Highway Patrol, Robert Salvati died at the scene near Encino at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday on the northbound freeway at Mulholland Drive. He was driving northbound at an unknown speed in red Nissan Rogue when he veered off the road, up an embankment, and struck a freeway pole, according to the CHP.
Salvati was the lone occupant of the Nissan, the CHP reported.
